The next meeting will take place on 23 September at Drake House. Please let us know if there are any issues you would like to see on the agenda.

There are also a number of local consultations currently taking place that may be of interest.

Every year the Safer Merton partnership carries out a Strategic Assessment which looks at all community safety issues in the borough. As part of this process, a survey is conducted to find out the community’s concerns in relation to crime, disorder, anti-social behaviour, and drugs and alcohol. To get involved please see:

Healthwatch Merton are investigating people’s experiences of our local hospitals. If you have not been able to get to any of the events they have had you can still take part by completing their survey by 7 September. http://www.mvsc.co.uk/hospital-survey

Proposed 20-minute free parking at The Broadway, CPZ W3. We have received representations made from local businesses regarding insufficient short term parking provision for their patrons, therefore we are proposing to make some changes to the Pay and Display (P&D) bays outside Nos. 162 – 196 The Broadway. For further information and to respond before 4 September please see: http://www.merton.gov.uk/transport-streets/parking/cpz/cpz_consultations…

There is still time to get involved in letting us know about your experience of voting in the polling stations we use. To give us your feedback or to suggest alternative venues before 5 September please see: https://consult.merton.gov.uk/KMS/elab.aspx?noip=1&CampaignId=489&Sessio…

You can register for email alerts to let you know when new consultations are taking place by going to www.merton.gov.uk/consultations and completing the form.

Many thanks

You might also want to keep an eye out for a consultation on commissioning local community health services by Merton Clinical Commissioning Group. There are events planned for 2 and 3 December and I’ll share the details once they become available.

Finally Merton Council’s cabinet will be considering options tonight for delivering Merton Adult Education services in a different way. Subject to the decisions taken this evening a consultation will be launched later this week.
