Trinity Resdients and local councillors have set up a meeting to discuss Crossrail 2
on Thursday 7th January at 7pm at Holy Trinity Church Hall on The Broadway.

"We love living in Wimbledon and want it to stay a great place to live but we are concerned that if these plans go ahead as they are, our town centre will be destroyed and never recover.
We cherish our community, the transport links, shops and parks. We don’t want Wimbledon town centre to be dominated by high rise buildings.
We think it is time to create a residents’ pressure group to influence these plans and ensure any new schemes in the town centre deliver for local people too.
If you’re interested please come along on 7th or email us at wimbledontown@btinternet.com."

From Cllrs Charlie Chirico, James Holmes & Abdul Latif
"We look forward to hearing from you at the public meeting in January. Whilst the opportunities for Wimbledon are terrific, the disruption could be too great for residents and businesses.
We recently met the Crossrail team to set out our concerns and invited them to the recent Community Forum.
As we said in our recent newsletter , please do respond to the consultation and help us make your views known.
It is critical that we all work together in the weeks ahead to make our views and concerns absolutely clear to Crossrail so we end up with a scheme which will enhance our town centre rather than damage it."
