9 November,
Vestry Hall, London Road, Mitcham
Mitcham in World War One.
This small photographic display will be on show as part of a Vestry Hall open day to mark the end of the Great War.

Merton Heritage Centre, 2nd floor--Morden Library
Freedom, Votes, Equality.
Featuring historic material from local museums and private collections, this exhibition covers the history of women’s suffrage in Merton.

20 October – 25 November,
Museum of Wimbledon, 22 Ridgway, Wimbledon Wimbledon During the Great War.
This exhibition by Merton Heritage Service looks at topics from recruitment and local regiments, to Belgian refugees, the wartime role of local women and the invaluable contribution made by Merton hospitals, industries and charities.
Open : Saturdays/Sundays: 2.30 – 5pm,
Tuesday – Thursday: 12 – 6pm

Keep the Home Fires Burning.
The role of local women on the home front during World War 1.

Local history talks & events:
16 October, 10.30am – 12 noon,
West Barnes Library, Station Road, New Malden
World War 1 : Forget-me-not
This session will feature contemporary songs, poems and literature to mark the end of the
First World War.
