The Human Face of War: Tales of Merton's First World War combatants



From flying aces and Navy stokers, to casualties of Gallipoli and heroes of the Somme--this illustrated talk by Heritage Officer, Sarah Gould, will reveal the life stories of local First World War combatants.

As part of the West Barnes Library local history group programme, Sarah is due to give a talk at the library based on the life stories of some of Merton’s First World War combatants – this links to the Borough's Remembrance programme.
