Sonoro joins violinist Hugo Ticciati and his ensemble O/Modernt for a programme with a unique twist: exploring musical labyrinths. This inventive programme from different ages and traditions is based around the idea of a labyrinth, with music that is full of twists and turns and sometimes reflecting the complexities of the composers’ emotions. We include music by Byrd, Monteverdi and Gesualdo, beginning our journey with the distinctive ‘wandering tones’ of Gregorian chant.
