Police Tug of War at Wimbledon Common Show, Sunday 4 September 2011

Come and support your favourite Tug of War team at the 2011 Wimbledon and Putney Common Stables Open Day , Windmill Road on Sunday 4 September 2011, from 1pm onwards!

This year, Merton police Village Safer Neighbourhoods Team with other community partners are raising funds for “HOUNDS FOR HEROES “, a brilliant charity which aims to provide specially trained assistance dogs to injured and disabled men and women of both the UK armed forces and civilian emergency services.

Sergeant Adrian Sutherland , Village SNT, said “This is a great annual family event, which this year will hopefully raise funds for a very deserving charity. We look forward to meeting lots of supporters to come and cheer for our Tug of War team, or come and take part themselves!”.
