IOSH Working Safely Workshop

This one-day certificated course delivers an understanding of the essentials of health and safety and the importance of safe working. It is suitable for people at every level in any sector or organisation. It is an interactive course supported by high-quality animated graphics that make the presentation entertaining as well as memorable.

Working safely meets the UK government’s guidelines for introductory Health and safety training and it entirely matches the Health & Safety Executive’s ‘passport’ syllabus.

Course modules comprise:

Introducing Working Safely
Defining hazard and risk
Identifying common hazards
Improving safety performance
Protecting our environment

The course has also been modified so that it is now recognised by the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) as an equivalent to a Level 1 Award in health and safety in a construction environment. This means that delegates who successfully complete Working Safely can apply for a CSCS ‘green card’ once they have also passed the CITB Health, Safety and Environment Operatives Test.

Workshop Trainer

The course will be led by Steve Bennett.

Participants are provided with a comprehensive manual / workbook which they keep. At the end of the day session, they also take a short assessment in order to achieve a pass and acquire their Working Safely Certificate.
