    Wimbledon Business Forum

We will be talking about the Wimbledon Station Access Scheme for which we are seeking financial support from Transport for London through the STEP Bid procedure. We will be outlining the current issues faced by existing station users and the plan to implement a set of improvements before the 2012 Olympics.

The forum is for all Wimbledon based businesses and is free to attend. If you would like to attend, please email tracy@wimbledontowncentre.co.uk with the names of those wishing to attend from your company or book directly online.

Making Wimbledon better for business means listening to the businesses and giving them a place to come together where they can raise the issues that concern them or that affect their business, and most importantly where they can get some answers or some resolution. That is exactly what the aim of the Wimbledon Business Forum is.

We encourage all businesses to let us know in advance of the issues they want to raise, such as crime, grafitti, parking, etc., so that we can ensure that the appropriate person (whether from the Council or the Police) is present at the forum. The forum is for you – the Wimbledon business – and we urge you to guide the agenda by letting us know what your issues are.

The format of the forum is a short networking period (including buffet breakfast) followed by a theatre-style forum where we follow an agenda which has been built by the businesses who are attending. Notes and actions are taken and will be addressed in the next forum, so that we can all ensure that we’re not just talking about things, we’re doing things to work towards making Wimbledon better for business.

    Wimbledon Business Forum

Wimbledon has long been in need of a more central information point for visitors to the town centre. The existing information point, at Wimbledon Library, is considered by many to be too far away from the main routes most visitors take when visiting the town centre, and so many don’t know of its existence.

Through the Going For Gold campaign, Wimbledon Town Centre Management are pleased to announce the plans for a new Information Point to be sited inside Centre Court Shopping Centre later in the year. At the next forum, David Ordman, Centre Director of Centre Court Shopping Centre and Chair of Wimbledon Town Centre Management, will discuss the initial thoughts and development plans for this initiative.

The forum is for all Wimbledon based businesses and is free to attend. If you would like to attend, please email tracy@wimbledontowncentre.co.uk with the names of those wishing to attend from your company.
