    BBC Antiques Roadshow comes to Morden Hall

    Morden Hall Park on Sunday 2nd June

    Join Fiona Bruce and the Antiques Roadshow team when they film at National Trust’s Morden Hall Park on Sunday 2 June.

    The Roadshow brings together a team of the country’s leading authorities on arts and antiques to offer free valuations for your family heirlooms or car boot bargains.

    Entry to the show is free, everyone is welcome, and no tickets or pre-registration is required.

    The Roadshow opens at 9.30am and last entry is 4.30pm. Dog policy and parking arrangements will be updated on this page closer to the event so please do check this.

    Is there disabled access?

    We aim to make Antiques Roadshow welcoming, open and accessible to all our visitors.

    If you’d like to come to one of the Roadshow venues and require a sign language interpreter please give us 14 days notice by emailing antiques.roadshow@bbc.co.uk

    If you’d like to bring an item along for a valuation please tell us about the item and include a photo so we can arrange for the most suitable interpreter.

    If you require any other help or assistance on the day please let us know.

    Introducing Wimbledon Town Neighbourhood Forum (WTNF)

    Invitation to become part of WTNF to influence Neighbourhood Plan policies directly.

    Thursday 20th June 2019 7.15pm Wimbledon Library Arts Space

    Find out how the proposed Neighbourhood Plan* can help achieve the changes in Wimbledon Town Centre you want. And prevent those you don’t want.

    The artist Jonathan Parker will show his drawings of Wimbledon and explain how ways of seeing the Town Neighbourhood can become part of the planning process.
    Trustee Anthony Wilkinson will talk about the Wimbledon Concert Hall project.

    *The policies of a Neighbourhood Plan carry statutory weight for both applications and appeals in the planning system.

    Wandle Valley Forum Annual Meeting

    Annual Meeting – Our Annual Meeting will be on Wednesday 3rd July and begins at 7pm. We are delighted to be at Merton Priory Chapter House this year where we can enjoy the benefits of the recent investment and hard work of Merton Priory Trust. The guest speaker will be Bella Davies (Wandle Trust) to share some of her secrets of how the river works and supper will be available for a reasonable donation. Let us know if you are interested in joining the Wandle Valley Forum Committee and we are looking for a new Treasurer.

    Wandle Fortnight 14-29 September 2019

    This year’s Wandle Fortnight – the celebration of all things Wandle run by the community for the community – is during the last two weeks of September. It begins over the first Heritage Open Days weekend and closes with World Rivers Day.

    Local groups and organisations put on over 60 different events and activities last year, including the 30th anniversary of the Wandle Trail, Capability Brown Weekend, Mitcham Heritage Day, a Wandle exhibition at the Honeywood Museum and the first viewing of a revitalised Merton Priory Chapter House.
