    The Human Face of War: Tales of Merton's First World War combatants

    From flying aces and Navy stokers, to casualties of Gallipoli and heroes of the Somme—this illustrated talk by Heritage Officer, Sarah Gould, will reveal the life stories of local First World War combatants.

    As part of the West Barnes Library local history group programme, Sarah is due to give a talk at the library based on the life stories of some of Merton’s First World War combatants – this links to the Borough’s Remembrance programme.

    Part of the “Thinking of Starting A Business” Series of workshops.Workshops are run by qualified business advisers.The Merton Business Support Service is financially supported by the London Borough of Merton and is an advisory service providing high quality, practical advice and support to help small businesses and startups develop and expand. The service is delivered by the Merton Chamber of Commerce and a network of some of London’s leading private sector business advisory and support firms. The business helpdesk is the first point of contact and your gateway to business services.
